What do these people have in common?
They all played basketball on the NBA floor currently owned, and now offered for sale by Mark Twain Elementary School in Angels Camp, CA.
When renovations were completed at Oracle Arena in Oakland in 1997, the Golden State Warriors, the Arena's primary tenant, purchased a new floor and backboards for the facility, and then offered for sale the floor that had been used by the team since the Arena opened. The floor moved to the San Jose Arena, now known as HP Pavilion, for the 1996-97 season.
Three years ago, voters in the Mark Twain school district approved a bond issue that allowed for the construction of a new gymnasium, which opened in September 2006. The school is now offering the floor and four basketball stanchions for sale for $20,000.00.
The floor is a regulation NBA floor, with approximately six feet beyond the sidelines and ten feet beyond the end lines. It includes the Warriors' old logo and the seal from the City of San Jose at midcourt; the backboards include the NBA logo.
